Debate Seminar

This one-time seminar will explore the essentials of debating. This seminar is targeted towards students with little to no previous debating experience. In this seminar, we will explore the critical thinking skills needed to be a successful debater, including how to formulate logical and persuasive arguments, how to identify and expose holes in opponents’ logic, and how to be a successful communicator and orator. This will be an interactive and engaging seminar where students can walk out feeling more confident in their public speaking skills and in their ability to critically analyse the world.

Annual Summit Seminar

We are excited to announce that Sunshine Education will be hosting its Annual Summit Seminar on December 27, 2020, in an online format. The topic of this year’s annual summit is different career paths and university majors! We hope that this will provide fresh perspectives and information not yet explored in previous seminars and summits. We are excited to say that we have an experienced and highly knowledgeable slate of guest speakers who can share their experiences in their respective fields of study and work with students. Students coming out of this seminar will have a stronger understanding of what kind of subjects and careers they may be interested in or want to pursue in the future. This seminar is open to all students.

Spring 2020

Let’s study together!

During the current coronavirus situation, self studying and organization seems more important than ever. Nevertheless, Sunshine Education strives to fulfill our mission of promoting a love of learning and making resources accessible for students to use.

This month, we are introducing our virtual event: LET’S STUDY TOGETHER!

Let’s Study Together is a new way of helping students study well at home with some peer guidance. It includes multiple sub-clubs suited to the student’s area of interest.

Each club is led by two experience high school leaders, guiding students through a specific course. Leaders excel in the subjects they instruct so students are welcome to ask questions!

Clubs meet once a week on Zoom and will be given a reasonable amount of homework to complete at home.
