Sunshine Team Challenge

Sunshine Team Challenge

June 25, 4pm-7pm

Sunshine, Inc. is hiring! Come to Sunshine Education’s interdisciplinary contest on June 25 to see if you and your team are good enough to get “hired” (and win some cool prizes).

This academic contest simulates a job interview! You will be competing in a team of 2-4 against your peers to get “hired” by the company (us!). Don’t worry, you won’t have to actually join the exec team 🙂

This contest has three sections, on English, the sciences, and mathematics. Each section has puzzle-questions that will challenge you to exercise your problem-solving and creative skills. As you complete questions correctly, you will collect points, with the team with most points winning! The winning team will receive a prize ($10 gift cards from Righteous Gelato!). And, you will be competing against your peers and against time.

This is a chance to win prizes, solve puzzles, all while meeting new friends from other schools. And it’s free!

More specific details will be sent closer to the date.

This is open to students in grade 7-9 only. This is for the sake of fairness to all competitors.
You will be competing in teams of 2-4. If you have a team, please register together on one team registration form.
If you do not have a team, don’t worry! Sign up on the individual registration form and we will pair you up.

This contest will be taking place on Discord! If you don’t have an account, don’t worry – it is easy and free to set one up. We will send out instructions on how to do so nearer to the date.

Tentative schedule:
4:00- 4:30: introduction and rules
4:30- 5:30: science section
5:30- 6:00: math section
6:00- 6:30: English section
6:30- 7:00: conclusion and prizes

Please fill out ONE of these forms.
If you have a complete team, fill out ONE team registration for the whole team.
If you do not have a team, fill out individual registration.

This contest is supported by Righteous Gelato, an awesome local business who graciously agreed to supply our prizes! Go check them out for some sweet summer treats:
